Prepare your child to start school

Are you a parent of a child who is :

  • starting school for the first time?
  • transitioning to face-to-face, in-person classes after distance learning?
  • having a difficult time adjusting to school?

If you fit any of these, we've designed this masterclass and toolkit for you!

If your child is starting school, you're probably feeling a mix of excitement and anxiety.

On the one hand, you're excited for your child to be in a formal learning environment, with more opportunities and to make friends with other kids their age.

But on the other hand, you might be worried about how they'll adjust to a new school, make friends, and keep up with their classmates.

This masterclass will give you the tools you need to support your child through the transition. We also included resources like a school readiness checklist, transition tips, and activities to help you prepare your child for the return to traditional schooling.

We'll help you understand the challenges your child may face during the transition, and provide practical tips and strategies for overcoming them.

Help your kids make a smooth transition to school

  • Identify skills your child must develop in order to be ready for school (it's not just academic skills!)
  • Appreciate your child's unique strengths
  • Understand how your unique situation (family and school) affects your child's school readiness, and what you can do about it.

  • Use fun, science-backed activities to develop social and executive function skills to help your child thrive in an in-person learning environment.

  • Learn what we can do to prevent problems such as bullying and difficulty making friends, and handle them when they arise.

  • Discover how to use positive parenting to handle challenges like separation anxiety and school-related tantrums.
  • Keep up the wins you've already created to strengthen your relationship with your child, using a positive parenting approach.
